George Pershing Moss was the son of James Maryland and Susan Ida Frye Moss. He married Mavis Margret Holder sept. 20, 1945 in Mississippi. A native of Stokes County, he was retired from Air Products and the Koury Corporation. He was Army veteran of World War II, and a Baptist. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mavis Margarette Holder Moss; daughters, Mrs. Pam Aydelette of Pleasant Garden, Ms. Susan Milkam of Los Angeles, Ms. Vivian Moss of the home, Ms. Jannifer Moss of Whitsett; son, Barry Moss of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Poca Beasley of Westfield, Mrs. Jean Conners of Chicago; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
