Jerry Scott Vanlandingham, 79, widower of Virgie Bussell Vanlandingham, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Central Baptist Hospital.
He was born January 25, 1929 in Nicholas County, KY to the late Adrian and Lillian Bailey Vanlandingham, was a retired farmer and member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gayle Vanlandingham, and a sister, Helen Ruble.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan (Kenny) Adkins, Cynthiana, a brother, Billy (Katie) Vanlandingham, Paris, and a sister, Opal Bolton, Fairfield, Ohio.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Darrell Sexton. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. Friday.
