Lowell Wayne Bedwell 83, of Dugger, passed away at 11:50 AM Thursday July 23, 2009 at his residence.

He was born in Sullivan Co., Indiana November 3, 1925 the son of Floyd Bedwell, and Corda Dunbar Bedwell.

He was a WWII Marine Veteran, a member of the Sullivan VFW Post# 2459, a former Sullivan Co. Assessor, and a land buyer for the State of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, also two sisters, Lois Smith and Judy Bedwell.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Yvonnia Padgett Bedwell, two daughters; Karen Rode (Tony) and Debbie Landis (Sam) all of Dugger, two sons; Calvin Bedwell (Monica) of Linton, and Doug Bedwell of Carlisle, 8 grandchildren; Jason Talley, Jodi Gaither, Derick Landis, Jana Crecelius, Ralandi Bedwell, Traven Bedwell, Megan King, and Brandon Bedwell, and 7 great grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday July 28, 2009 at the Dugger Cemetery with Milford Stone, and Jim Bill Benefiel officiating.

Military graveside services by the Sullivan, Shelburn, Hymera Legions, and the WFV Posts.
