OBITUARY EXCERPT: Boonville, Indiana Standard - August 18, 1916:
Morris B. Campbell was born in Cuyhoga county, Ohio, September 20, 1833 and died at his home in Boon township, Warrick county, August 10, 1916, aged 82 years, 10 months and 20 days. He came to Indiana in September of the year 1842 when only 9 years of age, settling in Boon township, Warrick county, where he lived until his death. He was married to Amelia C. Eby January 17, 1861. To this union four children were born, one son and three daughters. Of these the following survive, Effie E., Blanche, and Dr. Daniel Alson. One daughter, Emma Rosette, died Sept 3, 1876. Uncle Morris, as he was affectionately called, united with the Christian church more than fifty years ago. He leaves a wife, one son, two daughters, two sisters, eleven grandchildren, besides a large circle of neighbors and friends. One sister, Susan B. Truscott, and one brother, Phyletus, preceded him to the grave. The funeral was held from the country residence on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock and the service was conducted by Rev. R.G. Jones of the Bethany Christian Church of Evansville. Interment was at the Mt. Zion cemetery.
