Final rites for Frank Blankenship, 70, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the Wesley Chapel Church in the Watkins community.
Officiating minister was Rev. Lyle Price of Kaufman.
Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Bennett Stuart of Brownsboro and Mrs. Donald Gibbs of Mabank; two half-brothers, Beryl Barfield of Kaufman and W.E. Barfield of Abilene; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Blankenship, a prominent Van Zandt County farmer and ginner, died Sunday at his home in the Watkins community following an illness of two years duration.
He was born in the Watkins community on November 5, 1880, and lived in that community all of his life.
He was married to Miss Clara Kimbrew of Myrtle Springs on July 5, 1912. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for 38 years.
