Lovie was born to James Thomas and Elvira (Duff) Lee in Lyon Co. Kentucky, January of 1896.

Lovie married Emmett Anderson Morris in 1916 in Kentucky. They had their first child, Evalee, April 30, 1917. Her name on the birth certificate is "Lovie Magdelena Morris". She always went by the name of Evalee. Emmitt and Lovie had a second child, Edward, born in Paducah on 14 May 1919. Lovie died of blood poisoning that same day.

Edward was taken care of by neighbors and later they adopted him and moved to Arkansas. A few years later the family heard that Edward had died before reaching the age of 5. Evalee was taken care of mainly by her father's parents, John Henry & Rhoda Ellen Morris.

The family finally tracked down a newspaper obituary of Lovie's that gave them the location of her burial. There is no gravestone.

Before her marriage to Mr. Morris, Lovie had a child out of wed lock. His name was Robert E. Lee and was born 27 May 1914 in Paducah, KY. His birth certificate states his father is Clarence Dusch. The family has a few photos of him as an adult but has lost track of him. Please notify my if anyone could lead us to him.
