Douglas Phillip Ridlon, 84, of Desloge, formerly of Bismarck died Oct. 21 (1992) at Desloge Health Care Center. He was born March 22, 1908 in Akin, Minn. To the late Fred Ridlon & Vivian Clark Ridlon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred J. Prater Ridlon; and one son, Nathan Delano Ridlon; a stepson, Daniel Barnes; one infant daughter; and a brother, Dwaine Ridlon.
Mr. Ridlon was a retired Electrician at Hanna Minig Company.
He is survived by three sons: Richard Ridlon of Ironton, Jerry Ridlon and Tyrone Ridlon, both of Philadelphia, PA; seven daughters: Doris E. Clemens of Sullivan, Laverne Williams of Farmington, Arlene Peterson, Bernice Matti, both of Minneapolis, MN., Rochelle Hudgens of Florida, Laren Northburg of Akin, MN., and Vicki Oppelt of Black River Falls, MN.; two step-daughters: Rosalou Gaston of Irondale and Myra McIntyre of Bismark; two adopted-daughters: Pamela Ridlon and Judy Marler, both of Bismarck; three brothers: Jack Ridlon of Aurora, Minn.; Jewells Ridlon of Ironton, and Warren Ridlon of Hoyt Lakes, Minn.; three sisters: Ellen Miller of Hibbing, Minn., Florence Ryappy and Marjorie Wakefield, both of Crosby, Minn.; 38 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Taylor Funeral Service in Farmington. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Taylor Chapel with Rev. Steve Loveless officiating. Burial will be in the Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
