Bertie O. Gabbard Sweet, 95, of Fort Smith died Friday, April 30, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born May 14, 1908, in Cass. She was a homemaker and a member of 50th Street Church of Christ in Fort Smith. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren. She is survived by three daughters, Lorene Snow of Rogers and Marjorie
Roberson and Laverne French, both of Fort Smith; a son, Bill Sweet of Alta Loma, Calif.; and several grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Southwest Times Record
