Son of John Scott and Elizabeth Crawford. Died between 1873-1880 in Big Beaver.

"James married a daughter of the Rev. Wm Gibson. They had a number of children but only a few lived--William, Lizzie and Mattie."--Fay Oline Scott

Note: I could find no history for Rev. Wm. Scott in this area, but did find a history for a Rev. Robert Gibson. Also note the name of James's nephew is Robert Gibson Scott.
