Rev. John Rowland Lewis was the husband of Ellen (Suits) Lewis. They were married Steuben, Oneida County, New York June 3, 1841. Ellen died November 19, 1899. Rev. Lewis was a minister in the Black River Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died of cholera.
