REBECCA WILDER DIES IN RB
Long-time area resident Rebecca (Becky) Althea Wilder died Saturday, May 26, in a Red Bluff hospital. She was 76 years old.
Born April 10, 1914 in Monroeville, she had lived in Tehama County for 60 years and was a member of the senior citizens dance club.
She is survived by her husband Paul Wilder of Corning; daughter Shirley Weber of Corning; three sons, Kenneth Babb of Anderson and Gary Babb and Ron Babb, both of Corning; two stepdaughters, Gwen Cody of Rancho Cordova and Ruth Berriman of Woodland; a stepson, Gary Wilder of Sutter; a sister Metta Horner of San Francisco; four brothers, Arthur, Charles and Carl Weston, all of Flournoy, and Boyd Weston of Millville; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Frank, Hugh, Jubal and Henry Weston and sister Sarah Weston.
Private family services are scheduled.

She was the daughter of Joshua Weston and Nellie Christian Weston. Her grandfather, Jubal Weston who came to California with the '49ers, took over the management of the Monroe House and was appointed postmaster of Monroeville in 1856. His son Joshua attended school at St. John and later became Glenn County Surveyor.
Rebecca moved to Flournoy with her family, spending the next 60 years in Tehama County. she [sic] was first married to a Mr. Babb, then to her present husband, Paul Wilder of corning [sic], who survives [sic] her.
