TWO KILLED AT WABASH
Samuel Jenks and his son William, a deaf mute, were killed by Wabash train No. 6 near the Big Four crossing at Wabash. Father and son were walking home on the track when the train came along at a high rate of speed making up time. Neither heard the whistle or bell and both were knocked down a thiry-foot embankment and horribly mangled. Engineer A.S. Meed and Conductor Frank Hurlburt were in charge of the train.
