Clinton MO - Mrs. Antone Uhlenbock - After having been seriously ill of heart trouble at her home hear Roseland, Mrs. Fannie Uhlenbock passed away at 2 o'clock, Tuesday morning, April 24th. Fannie Lee Schrum was born in Benton county, Mo., near Windsor, on July 17th, 1860, thus being 62 years and 9 months old at the time of death. She was married to Antone Uhlenbock November 9, 1899, who with two foster children, Leota Mantonya, at home, and Beecher Schrum, in Yankton, South Dakota, survive her. This young lady and young man were taken into the Uhlenbock home when they were left motherless babies and have ever received a mother's care and affection. Besides the husband and two children to mourn her death, she leaves five brothers and two sisters; Mrs. Sue Raney and Della Schrum, of Calhoun, Mo.; Walter Schrum, of Windsor; Hogan Schrum, of Lincoln, Mo.; Ben Schrum, of Oakland, California; Joe Schrum, Oklahoma, and Will Schrum, Arizona. Mrs. Uhlenbock made profession of her religion in her teen years and united with the Clear Creek Baptist church, afterwards moving her membership to Mt. Olivet church, where she was ever an active and faithful member. She was the Primary Sunday School teacher, also an accomplished and dependable member of the choir, both day and night. She was ever ready to do her part, her motto being, "We can." Her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. She was a kind and truly neighborly neighbor. She was a true helpmate and painstaking home maker, and the beautiful life Mrs. Uhlenbock lived tells us she has gone to live in a beautiful city. Funeral services were held at Mt. Olivet church Wednesday, and the body laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
