Pauline A. Albright, 90, residing with her son in Ephrata, formerly of Tyrone, died Sunday at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of Aaron Wesley and Elsie Mae (Harper) Adams. She was twice married, first to George Ammon Wolf, who died Feb. 11, 1971, and then to Wilbur F. Albright, who died May 26, 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Grove (Terry) of Winter Park, Fla.; a son, Gerald L. Wolf (Linda) of Ephrata; three grandchildren: Christine Knaub, Scott Grove and Kelly Gazdak; four great-grandchildren: Josh Knaub, Jeremey Knaub, Aubrey Grove and Carter Grove; and a sister, Sara Krumrine of Epworth Manor, Tyrone. Pauline was a 1937 graduate of Tyrone High School. She was a homemaker and once employed at Tyrone Offset News from 1972-73. She was a member of the Tyrone Church of the Brethren, where she was active as a deaconess and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of AARP 917 and the Ladies Auxiliary of Excelsior Lodge 219, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Tyrone Church of the Brethren, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jeff Miley officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Care, 201 Chestnut Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
