CLARK BENNETT
Clark Bennett, 48, of 919 Broadway, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home of a heart ailment.
He was born Sept. 1, 1900, at Marshalltown, Ia., the son of Mr. and Mrs. G.O. Bennett. Mr. Bennett was married about 22 y ears ago, his first wife preceding him in death. He was married a second time to Velma Fines, Feb. 4, 1940 at Waterloo.
A freight and mail truck driver for the W.C.F & N. railroad. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter by his previous marriage, Donald and Mrs. Gwyn Hyde, both of whom live at Alameda, Cal., his parents, and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Rowland, also of Alameda, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Donald Arnold, at home.
He was preceded in death by a sister and his wife.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at O'Keefe and Town funeral home.
