Funeral services for Arch Christie, 82, who died Tuesday, November 28, at his home in Briggs community, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Ceder Tree Baptist Church.
Reverend Key Ketcher and Reverend Charlie Carey officiated with burial, directed by Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Cedar Tree Cemetery. Pallbearers included Harvey Hensley, Richard McLemore, Thomas Fields, George Dick, Jim Davis and Joe Gritts.
Christie was born March 15, 1883, in Cherokee County and lived most of his life in Cherokee County. He was a member of Cedar Tree Baptist Church, a retired farmer and full-blood Cherokee Indian.
Survivors include two sons, George and Lincoln, both of Briggs; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
