BURLINGTON—John A. Lenschow 76, of Bradenton, Fla., a
former Burlington resident, died Thursday morning, January 17, at the Bradenton Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Burlington on March 30, 1886, the son of Henry and Caroline Pfingsten Lenschow and resided in Burlington most of his life, moving to Bradenton, Fla., in 1956.

He is survived by his widow, the former Leona Shellgreen, twin sons, Leon of Bradenton and Leo of Aurora; one sister, Mrs. William (Alvina) Behrens of Genoa; .and one, brother, Henry C. Lenschow of Burlington; also one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one brother, William, and one
sister, Lena Hattendorf. The decedent was baptized at the Lutheran Church at North Plato and was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Burlington; of which he was a member prior to becoming a member of Concordia Lutheran Church Sarasota, Fla.

Mr. Lenschow had engaged in farming for many years, and in
later years operated a milk tank truck before his retirement. He was for many years a member of the Burlington Cornet Band.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St.
John's Lutheran Church in Burlington, with Rev. F. B. Bierwageh officiating. Burial was in Burlington Union cemetery.
