Winona L. Ashe-Everest, 81, mother of Lorin D. Norcross, died Tuesday in an out of town hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 26, 1881 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Her family moved to California when she was a child, and lived in Los Angeles County.
Her husband, William Ashe-Everest, died in La Habra in 1950, and she moved to Santa Barbara in 1952.
Surviving are four brothers, Clarence A. and John B. Durkee, both of Houston, TX, Daniel Durkee of Sacramento and Hugh Graham of San Bernardino; a sister Mrs. Reuben Hensler of Glendale, and three grandchildren, Diane, Gary and Michele. Private funeral services for the family will be Monday in Pomona Cemetery, Pomona. Friends may remember their favorite charity. Welch-Ryce Associates is in charge of the arrangements
