Mr. Thomas Anthony ''Tommy'' Henderson, 56, died Monday morning (June 23, 2003 ) at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was a native and life long resident of Ware County. He was the son of the late J.J. Henderson. He was retired with Champion International for 33years.
He was a member of Haywood Baptist Church and a honorary member of the Georgia FFA Association.
Survivors include his wife; Alene Pittman Henderson of Haywood, three sons; Bill Henderson ( wife Carla) of Valdosta, Andy Henderson,Corey Henderson (wife Cherry) both of Waycross, his mother; Mrs. Myrtle Thomas Henderson of Haywood, step daughter; Joy Thrift (husband Dewayne) of Waycross, step son; Scotty Johns (wife) Paula of Valdosta, sister; Linda Sports ( husband) Bobby) of Brunswick, grandchildren; Jamie, Terry, Palmer, Colt, Tyler, several nieces & nephews, one great niece and other family members.
A service is planned for 10:00 am Wednesday in the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 o'clock Tueasday evening at the funeral Home.
