Pioneer Dies, Burial On Saturday. Martha Clark Dies After Long Illness

Martha Clark, 69, pioneer woman of the community, died about nine Wednesday evening after a long illness. Two sons, Lee and Dave, reside here. Her husband, Daniel Clark, passed away several years ago.

Mrs. Clark, in the early homesteading years, was most active in community building, taking a spirited part in all activities for the advancement of the new order.

She was a woman of warm human instincts, generous and kindly, and before age and infirmities came, made her personality felt in the city and community.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Rebekah lodge and this order will have charge of the last rites. Rev. A. J. Whipkey will conduct a service at the grave.
