Leola Gertrude Gines Williams Ellis, 89, our wonderful mother, grandmother and sister was called home on April 2, 1999 peacefully at her home after a long productive life.

She was born February 28, 1910 in Woodland, Utah to William and Sara Elizabeth Jones Gines. Married Kaleb Elmo Williams, divorced. Married Royal Edward Ellis March 29, 1929 in Tabiona, Utah. He died September 22, 1963.

In her later years she loved to quilt and crochet. She cooked in a lot of cafes in Heber City and was known for her excellent pies. She was well liked by all who knew her and she enjoyed people. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Survived by children: Boyd G. (Dorothy) Williams, Donna Rose (Willis V.) Stone, Lawana Merle (Richard W.) Farnsworth, Linda Ann (Michael) Killpack all of Salt Lake City; Royal Val (LaVern) Ellis and Judy Lynn (Michael) Lindsay of Heber City; Lillie Irene (Doyle) Kohler, Lehi. 26 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Brother, Paul Gines, Salt Lake City and two sisters, Reba Anderson, Kamas and Wanda Ivie, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 8, 1999 at 1 p.m. in the Heber 3rd Ward (240 E. 400 S.). Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home (288 N. Main) in Heber City and Thursday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
