Mr. Davis was born in Augusta County, April 22, 1906, a son of the late Thomas Edward and Mary Tinsley Davis. He was a retired employee of Sunbeam Bakery and a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he was an elder.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Matheny Davis; one son Kenneth E. Davis of Waynesboro; one brother, Archie Davis, two sisters, Mrs. Seynor Parr and Mrs. Lucille Fisher, both of Waynesboro; one grandson; one great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Etter Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Ralph M. Piland, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jesse Vines, Harland Senger, Owen Shue, Eugene Criser, G. S. Weeks and Jerry Dunn.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class, Board of Deacons and Session of Second Presbyterian Church.
The body will remain at Etter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tomorrow evening.
There will be no public viewing of the body.
