She was educated in Nashua NH schools. Worked many years as a waitress at the Greenridge Turkey Farm Restaurant before moving to Arizona in 1973. Rita and her husband Joe purchased a diner "Mom's Delight" bringing to Arizona a good New England home cooked meal. In 1977, they both founded Joriga Electronics after Joe's employer, RCA, moved the two-way installation and repair business away. She was a Member-at-Large with Epsilon Sigma Alpha.
Rita passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's with her husband Joe by her side.
