HANOVER Clark U. Barrick, 97, of The Brethren Home-Cross Keys, formerly of 100 Kuhn Drive, Hanover, died at 2:05 a.m. Sunday at the home. He was the husband of Elsie M. (Watson) Barrick who died in 1971, and of Carrie E. (Myers) Nace Barrick, who died in 1987.
The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Barrick was born Aug. 15, 1897, near Newville, Cumberland County. He was the son of the late William Joseph and Elizabeth (Yoter) Barrick.
He was a retired farmer in North Codorus Township, and was a former custodian at Spring Grove Area Middle School.
Mr. Barrick is survived by three sons, Lester V. Barrick of Spring Grove RD 3, Clark J. Barrick of Hanover, and Franklin D. Barrick of Spring Grove RD 5; three daughters, Beulah L. Heindel of Westminster, Md., Violet A. Zeck of York New Salem, and Mary E. Thomas of Millers, Md.; two stepsons, Richard Nace and Donald Nace, both of Spring Grove RD 5; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, William Barrick and Byrle R. Barrick.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. George B. Hummer, pastor of Salem (Guldens) United Methodist Church, Gettysburg.
