Lillian Dayle Brewer Mattson passed away at Emeritus Estates in North Ogden, Utah on July 16, 2009.


She was born June 9, 1921 in St. Charles, Idaho to George W. and Ella Sorenson Brewer.


Dayle attended schools in Bear Lake and graduated from Fielding High School.


She married the love of her life, Eldon Henderson Mattson, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 18, 1938. They spent their entire married life farming the land and preaching the gospel. They raised six children on their farm.


Dayle served in many church positions, among them were Relief Society President, Young Womens, and the Stake Sunday School Board; which always brought a smile to her face. She served a mission to Canada, another to northern Idaho, and a mission at the welfare center while living at home.


Dayle is survived by two sisters, Audrey Elsworth and Elmoyne Hanks; five of her children, Marilyn (Gary) Payne, Reed (Jeanine) Mattson, Eldon Brad (Cindy) Mattson, Dayle Chelane (Thaine) Hansen, Lynne (Dennis) Kunz; also a posterity of over 80, 24 of which are grandchildren, and the balance is made up of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren, with one more on the way. Dayle was preceded in death by her husband Eldon, parents, and son Terry (Mary) Mattson, as well as three of her siblings Stanley, Marion, and Emma.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the St. Charles Ward Chapel. Friends may call prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. There will be a night visitation held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary on Sunday, July 19, 2009.
Interment will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.
