Blanch S. White, dearly loved mother and grandmother, died at age 89 on July 14, 2009 in St. George, Utah.

She was born September 7, 1919 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to Amasa Merlin Steed and Fanny Alice Wilcox.

She married Ronald S. White on May 7, 1937 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple.

Blanch loved genealogy and spent over 30 years searching out and doing work for Swedish ancestors.

Blanch is survived by three daughters, Julienne (Allen) Hardman, Washington, Utah; Jeri (Todd) Schnitker, St. George, Utah; Sheri (Charles) Johnson, Acworth, Georgia; 11 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, six great-great- grandchildren and two sisters, LaFaye Harmon and Nola Valantine. Blanch was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald and a daughter Sandra Veverka.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George, Boulevard, St. George, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at Metcalf Mortuary.
Interment will be held on Monday, July 20, 2009 in the Farmington City Cemetery in Farmington, Utah at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
