"After a lingering illness of several weeks, Dollie Kobiskie died at her home about seven miles south of Alma on South Branch, Friday morning, August 26, 1932. Mrs. Kobiskie was the daughter of James Luke and Adeline (Allen) Williams and was born in Centralia, Kansas, January 3, 1886. She was united in marriage to Henry Kobiskie January 4, 1906; immediately they established the home where she spent the remainder of her life. Mrs. Kobiskie is survived by her husband, Henry Kobiskie, and five children, Mrs. Herman Grensing, of the Egypt neighborhood; Otto Kobiskie, Ruby Kobiskie, Charles Kobiskie and Bessie Kobiskie. A baby daughter died when about two years of age. She also leaves the following brothers and sister, Scott Williams, Alma; Chet Williams, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bessie McCoy, Topeka. Mrs. Kobiskie had that womanly instinct and gracious manner that drew many friends and neighbors and those associated with her in church work very close and her friends were numbered by the score. She was a consistent Christian, a member of the Evangelical church at Alma, always ready and willing to do her full share looking to the success of any Christian undertaking. A devoted and dutiful wife, always busying herself for the comfort of husband and children. She will be sorely missed in the home, community and church circles, but the husband, children and friends are assured of the fact that they have awaiting them beyond the veil, wife, mother and friend. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical church Sunday afternoon in charge of the pastor, Rev. T.L. Boesch, who made a trip from St. Louis, Missouri, from the bedside of a sick wife, to preach the funeral, in which he paid tribute to the life of the deceased and drew lessons of lasting benefit to the large company present. The body was laid to rest in the Evangelical Cemetery. Pallbearers were Earl Rock, H.B. Schutter, Herman Strasen, Wm. Redemske, Philix Davin and George Egert. Music was furnished by Mrs. W.C. Hasenbank, Mrs. Eugene Schmitz, R.E. Thoes, Arnold Nehring. Mrs. A.E. Carroll sang a solo. Mrs. Anton Schewe at the piano."
