Asa Stephenson, lived with his son Lamar, and his wife Hilda on the Moultrie Road near Thomasville. Their son, Lamar, Jr. was quite small when he came to live with them. He was a school teacher, with a brilliant mind, before he became disabled. He was in a wheel chair for whatever reason, I don't recall, and he was also blind. But, he could tell the most wonderful stories. He would put Lamar Jr. on one knee and me the another. Although we were 9 & 7 when he died, we always remembered his stories and our time together with him on the front porch. Such beautiful childhood memories he left for us all. WBS.
