Mrs. Atwell was born on October 17, 1911 in Parker County to J.F. Neill and Kate Curtis Neill. Thelma married Arthur Atwell May 9, 1932, and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1970. She then married Clayton Severson February 14, 1972, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She lived in Graham until 1943 then moved to Albany where she was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by sons Jerry Atwell and wife, Monica of Irving and Pete Atwell and wife, Bobette of Breckenridge; sister, Billie Gaskin and husband, Harry of Jacksboro; grandchildren, Debi Bufkin and husband, Malcolm of Breckenridge, Brian Atwell and fiancé, Kelly Quaal of Ft. Worth, Mary Atwell of Albany, Teresa Yeats and husband, Wayne of Clyde, and Jerry Don Atwell and wife Edie of Garland, 5 Great-Granddaughters, and 3 great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Arthur Atwell and Clayton Severson, and sisters, Evelyn Allen and Pauline Herndon.
