Sarah was the daughter of James McMahan, and supposedly the second wife of Jesse Boone (1748-1829).

Children:
Jonathan
Israel (Elizabeth Rebecca Moore)
Sarah (Jonathan Wilson)
Hannah (Smith Coffey)
Anna (William Coffey)
Celia (William "Buck" Gragg)
Rachel (Marvel Coffey)

Jesse Boone's son, Daniel, was supposedly not Sarah's, but the son of Jesse's first wife, Elizabeth Coffey, who died in childbirth of the couple's second child, who also died.

Note: Two Coffeys were mentioned in the will of Jesse Boone. "Marvel Coffey" was his son-in-law, husband of Rachel, who received part of Jesse's estate.

Often confused with the above is Asbury M. Coffey, "Asbury Madison Coffey," an attorney in McMinn Co., TN, named and appointed by Jesse, along with Jesse's son, Israel, as executors of Jesse's will. Both Coffeys lived at the same time in McMinn Co., TN, in the 1830 Census. Only the latter had the name "Asbury."
