Funeral services for Peter Hendrix Johnson, 77, are scheduled today, at 2:00 p.m. at Montezuma Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Leader of Sapulpa, officiating.
Mr. Johnson was born April 11, 1896 in Indian Territory, Okfuskee County area and died April 23, 1973, in Claremore Indian Hospital.
He was a veteran of World War I, a member of Montezuma Baptist Church and a resident of this area all his life.
Survivors include three sons: Wilbourne of Wichita, Kansas, Clyde of Okemah and Hershel of Tulsa: a daughter, Mildred Rumsey of Pawhuska: nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Interment was in the Montezuma Church Cemetery with Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
