ADKINS, Jr, Raleigh Bluphord Age 82 of Waynesville passed away Wed. May 18, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. Born Oct. 8, 1922 to Raleigh and Zella Adkins in Dayton. Raleigh retired from NCR after 28 years of service and later worked for Wayne Local Schools. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice 1980, one daughter Peggy Speers, and one brother Gene Adkins. He is survived by one daughter Marsha Meager of Columbus; five grandchildren Kevin and his wife Tricia Speers, Yvette and her husband Greig Richardson, Trent and his wife Shelley Speers, Michelle Speers, and Jonathan Speers all of Lexington, SC; seven great grandchildren Thomas, Richard, and Patrick Speers, Callahan Richardson, Nicholas and Timmy Speers, and Christopher Speers; one sister Nancy Ellis of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2:00 P.M. Sat. May 21 at STUBBS-CONNER FUNERAL HOME, Waynesville. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00 P.M. Sat. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
