Our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and great uncle, Warren Erastus Rasmussen, died Sept. 27, 2002.

He was born on June 20, 1902, in Sanford, CO, the 11th of 13 children born to Andrew and Martha Rasmussen. Warren graduated in 1928 from Colorado State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

He worked for several years on large animals before opening a small animal hospital in Ogden just south of Weber State College. He was a firm believer in education. He not only encouraged but helped several people to get their degrees.

Shortly after starting his practice he was approached by a county agent along with several local ranchers conveying the problems they were having breeding their cattle. So in the early 50's he and his brother, Jordan, helped start the first artificial insemination program in the state of Utah.

Each one who knew and loved Warren will remember him in their own way. We will miss his warm love, smile, good humor, and zest for life. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and having family and friends around him. We will miss you Grandpa. Life will not be the same.

Warren is survived by one sister, Ada Shawcroft of La Jara, Colorado; one son Samuel J. Clarke, two grandchildren, Stephen Edward Clarke and Annette (Clarke) Clouse, four great-grandchildren, Brandi (6), Cassi (4), Bradley (3), and Brian (8 months), as well as many nieces and nephews, who loved him very much.

Warren is preceded in death by his first love, Elvera Jackson Rasmussen and his second love, Edna Katie Newman Rasmussen.

Services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to the service. Interment at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
