WILL HOLD SAMS FUNERAL MONDAY

The funeral of Edward A. Sams, 80, a prominent resident of Wood county who died Friday night at 11:45 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank M. Moore, 809 Lynn Street, will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the daughter's residence and interment will be in the Foley Cemetery.

Mr. Sams' death was entirely unexpected, he being in his usual good health until 20 minutes before his death. Mr. Sams was born at Wadesville but had lived in this city for about 25 years.

Surviving his death are nine children: J. W. Sams, Mrs. Elizabeth Hupp, Mrs. Maggie Moore, all of South Parkersburg; Charles Sams, Akron, Ohio; George Sams, New England, West Virginia; Thomas Sams, Ravenswood, West Virginia; Mrs. Myrtle Collins and Mrs. Frank M. Moore, of Parkersburg, and Allan G. Thurman Sams of Belpre.

Drury's name has been spelled Drewey and Drewery. His middle name has been listed as Edwin and Edward also. His obituary states Edward A. but per grandma's info (his grand-daughter, his birth name was Drury Edgar).
