Mrs. Harshman was born March 10, 1914, in Colfax. She was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Agnes (McKee) Geiger. She was reared and educated in Clinton County, where she graduated from Bowers High School in 1932.
She married Ralph E. Harshman on Aug. 1, 1934, in Lafayette. Mr. Harshman preceded her in death.
Mrs. Harshman lived in Lebanon from the 1940's until she moved to Orlando in 1985. For the past five years she had lived with her daughter, Kathy Johnson and grandson, Jeff Johnson, before entering Adventist Care Center in May of this year.
She spent her life as a homemaker. She taught Sunday school for many years at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon. She also worked as a cook at the Indiana Methodist Children's Home in Lebanon.
Mrs. Harshman was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent 15 years compiling her family's genealogy records and wrote about her memories, for which her family is very grateful. She said that she enjoyed every minute of it.
She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Wilmoth and husband, Paul, of Benicia, Calif., and Kathy Johnson and husband, Ray, of Orlando; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. Harshman and Steven R. Harshman.
