Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Scott Lane, 85, were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Marcella Falls Church of Christ with the burial in Lynnwood Cemetery at Lynnville. Mrs. Lane died on Monday afternoon, June 19, at her home at Marcella Falls.
Born March 24, 1876, in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Alex Scott and Julie Brooks Scott of the Hampshire section of Maury County. Her husband, Monroe Lane, died May 8, 1938. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lane is survived by four sons, Arthur Lane, Everett Lane, Lawrence Lane, and Archie Lane, all of Route 1, Ethridge; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Hindman, Ethridge and Mrs. Lewis Tyler, Culleoka; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren
