Alice married Alonzo O. Spencer, 6 January 1874, Fredericksburg, Gillespie, Texas. They had four children, Tempy Jane, James Henry, Cynthia Alice and Alonzo Randolph. She later married Charles Preston Gamble, 28 March 1882, after her first husband disappeared, while on a business trip, in 1879. Charles was born in Tennessee. Their five children were, Martha Susan, Charles Granvil, Lucinda Elizabeth, William Bradley and Emily Locket.
Alice lost her husband at Mimbres, Grant, New Mexico, 8 May 1891, just a few months before their last child, Emily was born. He had been thrown from a horse, dying about a month later.
Of all of Alice's children, only three grew up to marry and have children.
