Edward Beigh was the son of James Albert and Lydia Ann Metzger Beigh. He was educated at Winona College, in Winona Lake, Indiana. He worked as a teacher before the war. He entered service on September 4th, 1918 in Warsaw, Indiana. He was sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky and assigned to the 14th Company, 4th training battalion of the 159th Depot Brigade. He died of pnemonia at the base hospital at Camp Taylor, Kentucky.
