Vernon Howard Booth, 64, St. Augustine, died Sept. 13, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East.
He had lived in St. Augustine most of his life. He co-owned and operated Townet Press.
He was a veteran of the Korean Era, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Moultrie Baptist Church and Elks Lodge #829.

Funeral services will be announced by Craig Funeral Home. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or those wishing may make a contribution in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 125 Diesel Road, St. Augustine, Fla. 32086.

He is survived by his wife, Elba; three daughters, Angela Cooper, Lisa Stewart and Debbie Booth, all of St. Augustine; four sisters, Erma Cornell, St. Augustine, Vivian Drawdy, St. Marys, Fla., Carol Ann, St. Augustine, and Mabel Doughty, Long Beach, Calif.; a brother, Francis Booth, St. Augustine; and five grandchildren, Harold and Ashley Cooper and Brooke, Lindsey and Allison Stewart.
