Elmer S. Darwachter, 66, of 4411 Warsaw St. , died at 5:40 p.m. yesterday in the Veterans Administration Hospital where he had been a patient since Aug. 12.
He was a retired plumber for the VA Hospital. He was a member of the First Christian Church, American Legion Post 43, Decatur, and the Eagles Lodge, Van Wert , Ohio . He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Zwick Funeral Home, Decatur, Rev. Barton A. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery .
Friends may call at D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home here from 7 to 10 p.m. today and at the Zwick Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
American Legion Post 43 will conduct graveside services.
