Israel Hezekiah Stevens, son of Abel and Pheebe (Knowlton) Stevens, purchased farm land in Bastard Twp. from his father and worked the farm until his retirement. Then he moved into the village of Delta, Ontario, where he purchased the Walter Denaut home [now a Bed & Breakfast]. He died in Delta, Bastard Twp, Leeds & Grenville Cos. Ontario.
