Samuel Lusk was a Revolutionary War Veteran (DAR Ancestor #A072464). He fought alongside his father-in law Davis Whiteside (DAR Ancestor #A124521) at King's Mountain, the turning point of the American Revolution. Whiteside was wounded in the battle and died of those wounds later in the day in Hillsborough, NC en route home.
