Guy C. Adams was an American Soldier during the American Civil War of 1861 to 1865.


He enlisted on July 7th, 1862, at Elmira, New York, for three years service, at the age of 18, and was mustered into service as a Private in Company E of the 107th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment on July 18th, 1862. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on March 1st, 1863. He served with the regiment through its campaigns in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, before being sent west with the regiment to serve with General William T. Sherman's Army in Tennessee and Georgia.


Sergeant Adams was killed in action on August 3rd, 1864, near Atlanta, Georgia; he was originally buried on the field, but was later dis-interred and moved to the National Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.
