David E. Adams, 76, of Harrisburg, died Sunday at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro. Born in Lake City, he was a retired watchman, a member of the Poinsett Masonic Lodge No. 184 of Harrisburg, and a World War II veteran. He was of the Baptist belief. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Lee Hunt Adams of the home, two daughters, Macel Ann Yarbro of Jonesboro and Cindy Jane McArthur of Harrisburg; three brothers, Jessye T. Adams of Harrisburg, Corbett A. Adams of Poughkeepsie and Donald Mack Adams of Humbolt, TN; one sister, Lucille Puryear of Trumann, and one granddaughter. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held at 10 this morning in the Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Cecil Parker officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.
