She was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Endicott. Geraldine was the daughter of the late Gerald and Florence Deming Cortright.
On Dec. 9, 1972, she married Carl R. Decker. He predeceased her on March 4, 1990.
Geraldine enjoyed barbecues and lawn sales and loved baseball. She was a movie buff and was a volunteer at the Next to New Shop in Sidney.
She was survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald R. Yeager Jr. of Kerhonkson, Arthur and Deb Yeager of Unadilla and Carl and Cathy Decker of Unadilla; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Jubin of South Carolina and Geri and Michael Joslin of Unadilla; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Mary Decker of Unadilla; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several neices, nephews and cousins. Also surviving were her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Buzz Baker of Florida; her best friend, Alicia Decker of Maryland; and special friends, Bert and Harry Fancher of Unadilla and Richard Relyea and Shirley Gransbury of Unadilla.
She was predeceased by her stepfather, Arthur L. Watson, and two brothers, Richard and Robert Cortright.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at the Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin, with Laura Roper, chaplain at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, officiating.
