Harold D. Daniels, age 82, of Shipley Road, Fredericktown, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Knox Community Hospital.

He was born on November 11, 1924 in Fredericktown, Ohio to the late John and Goldie (Poulton) Daniels. Harold was a self employed painter. For over 50 years he was a member of the Ankenytown Grace Brethren Church and recently has attended the Berean Baptist Church in Mansfield. Harold was a strong Gideon. He loved to fish, hunt, golf, garden and follow Ohio State sports. Harold was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, of over 62 years, Elenore (Stringer) Daniels; two daughters Gloria (Bob) Parker of Troy, Tina (Rich) Campbell of Westerville; two sons Dennis (Judy) Daniels of Winona Lake, IN, Wayne (Diane) Daniels of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, Mathew Parker, Katrina Parker, Amy Tanner, Lesley Placeway, Joshua Daniels, Adam Campbell; three great grandchildren, Gabriella Parker, Luke Parker, Elizabeth Tanner; and two sisters, Eileen Clark of Gambier and Dorothy (Rev. Bob) Linter of Lebanon.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown from 6 โ€“ 8 PM. A service will be held on Friday, at the funeral home, beginning at 1 PM with Rev. Bob Linter officiating and being assisted by Matt Parker. Burial, with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veteran's Council, will follow in Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown.
