She studied music and Art at Chappell Hill Female College, then at the Arts Students League, NY City. Exhibited in France and on the West Coast often.
By 1918, Webster and her children had moved to Austin, Texas. After several years, they moved to California where she, a pianist, was on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as a music teacher.
Ran a children's music camp called Twin Firs each summer in Pinecrest (in Tuolumne County), California and late in life taught her two grandchildren how to play the piano.
Her paintings show a gift for realistic portraits and she often painted miniatures on ivory. She was an avid gardener, a great lover of birds and was very knowledgable about both.
