Mrs. Barton, age 86 of Winnfield, LA died Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She was a homemaker, a member of Sardis Baptist Church and director of the WMU.
Survivors are one son, Billy Barton and wife Rebecca of Natchitoches, LA; two daughters. Beth Collier and husband Dr. L.R. Collier of Winnfield, LA and Martha Wagoner and husband Neil of Baton Rouge, LA; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. E. B. Barton.
Pallbearers were: Joey Wagoner, Barry Wagoner. Lane Barton, Julius Barton, Benny Brady and Vernon Shaw.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Sam Plunkett, Harley Austin, Denver Fox, Paul David Shaw, Tommy Shaw, and Davis Silman.
