Gustine -- Etha Vinta Tate, a homemaker, died Friday at Doctor's Hospital in Modesto. She was 84.
Mrs. Tate was born in Missouri and lived in Gustine for 14 years.
She was past president of the parish lunch club in Gustine and a member of the Gustine Senior Citizens club.
She is survived by her son, Raymond "Toby" Tate of Gustine; brother, Earl Knight of Red Bluff; and sister, Ada Mickle of Ojai.
She is survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. No visitation has been scheduled.
A Memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine. Burial will be private at Hills-Ferry Cemetery.
