above residence. Services at St. Margaret's
Episcopal Church. Conn ave. and Bancroft
pl., on Monday. April 12 at 2:30 p.m. In
terment at Rock Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Chew, who lived at 1954
Columbia road N.W., died Thursday
at her home after an illness of
several years.
Born in Georgetown In 1860, she
was a life-long resident of the Dis
trict and liked to compare her
memories of old-time Washington
with published accounts of the city’s
history. She was the youngest and
last survivor of a family of 15 chil
dren, nearly all of whom lived here.
Three children survive her. They
are Miss Marie Theresa Chew and
John Hunter Chew of the Columbia
road address and Beverly Grayson
